A Founder’s Note From the Studio

A few times a year, I spread dozens of leather swatches across my studio table—colors I’ve mixed, adjusted, and lived with. Some stay. Many don’t. And then there are the colors that immediately feel like they belong to the LUSHER world.
Fuchsia was one of those moments.

But not any fuchsia.

The shade we create is made the old-world way: from plant-based pigments, layered slowly into our Italian veg-tanned leather until it reaches that soft, rich depth I wanted—something bold, but not loud… vibrant, but wonderfully wearable. Never neon. Never artificial. Just a naturally saturated color that looks good on everyone and somehow gets better with time.

Big luxury houses revisit fuchsia year after year, and I’ve always understood why. It’s a “grown-up pink”—confident, modern, and surprisingly neutral. It’s a favorite among our customers, and not just women. Men love this shade too. There’s something about it that feels uplifting without being flashy.

When we tested it on our slings and backpacks, the reaction was instant. Customers asked for more sizes, more styles, more everything. And honestly, I felt the same. It brought a little spark to the studio… that feeling when a color just works.

So yes—our Fuchsia collection is special. It’s handcrafted, sustainable, plant-dyed, and completely exclusive to LUSHER… but more than that, it’s a color I personally fell in love with, shaped, adjusted, and approved with my own eyes and hands.
